Just a post to wish everyone a Happy Independence Day. This is the day we celebrate America's independence from the tyranny of England and from the aristocracy.

America was the birthplace of modern democracy, and the inspiration for so much. While America's founding fathers used so many examples, including the Magna Carta and Rome's republic, it was their spirit and strength in the face of those who would smother the spark of freedom that made it so special.

So, while we remember that great act and the strength it took to perform it, let's be safe and enjoy the barbecues, fireworks, picnics, and parties in honor of freedom.

Hello peeps!

I just wanted to update my blog with some of this week’s happenings. I’m busy with my full time work now. I thought I could still manage to update my blogs more often, but I guess that sometimes it’s hard to do both. The job I do is very tiring, but rewarding.

For the past couple days, we had very good weather. I buy Jasmine a surprise mini-pool so she can enjoy the summer days. She loves splashing and playing under the sun in her “swimming pool.” that's how I spend time with my sweet little princess. I am off every Thursday for her ballet class, and Sunday we have family day. Monday our local grocery, where I work is closed, so that’s mommy daughter day. I end up working every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. It’s a nice little schedule, it allows me to have some money for myself, and gives me a break from full time mommy duty.

Friday, my friend Emily and I planned a surprise going away party for our co-workers who are leaving next week. One is headed for San Francisco, and the other one, Girlie, is going home in Pinas for 3 months. We are going to miss them a lot since we worked together for couple of months now. Emily and I prepared some yummy food that we brought in to work for our coworkers. Even the cashiers loved the food we had. Almost all the workers there enjoyed the food we brought.

Today at work, we talked about how we’re going to miss them, and that we hope someday to meet again. It’s not that busy today, but not bad either. Time passes by so quickly when you are busy working or talking to your friends lol . Manang May gave me a memento, a polvoron mold and some colored tissue paper for wrapping it up. So, maybe I’ll make some polvoron and see how it tastes. Maybe, someday I will make some for sale. Anyway, talking about business, I already had many orders for egg rolls, but no time to make them now. I guess I will just have to take serious time to do it. I just want to relax after work and during my off time, too. I still have to do chores, but that’s O.K. I’m glad I took time to cook today before heading to work. Hubby loves lasagna, and I love beefsteak Pilipino style. So, now I don’t worry about cooking. That’s why I have time to sit here and do my update about our adventures.

I'll have some photos later, when my internet connection gets straightened out. It's coming and going the past couple days.

Hello, everyone. Wishing you all a very good week. I wanted to share our princess’s 1st day at ballet class. They really had a great time on the first day. We parents enjoyed seeing our little ones enjoying themselves. of course, as parents we always bring with us our gadgets to take some pictures of the events, as some memories are meant to be treasured and preserved for them to see when they grow up. It’s a pleasure that parents always enjoy, and sometimes embarrasses them.

I think it’s great she is learning the ballet. She learned it well the first 2 lessons, so I think she will take to it quite well. Ballet also teaches coordination and balance, so she will definitely benefit, as she is still a little clumsy.

Hi to all my friends, online and offline! Another entry, another missive on the way I spend my weekends. I hope it's not too long for you.

Chapter 1 (joking) This past weekend was just more of the usual, being a bagger at our local grocery. I like the job since I started. We aren’t paid, but we get tips for bagging groceries for the customers who do their shopping in our local grocery. I enjoy doing it, and I get to hang out with some Pinay friends I work with. They are the ones who work full time.

Anyway, last Saturday my friend Emily and I agreed to meet at the church, to attend a Funeral Mass. It was my hubby's co-worker who passed away untimely. It was a sad moment for Raytheon, for they lost a fellow worker and very dear friend. I got there just in time for the mass to start. The moment I saw the casket in front of the altar, I was in Tears. I felt so sad for his wife. It’s just unbelievable what happened to him. I won’t detail his death. I prayed for his wife to have strength and comfort in this difficult time.

After the funeral mass we headed straight to our work, where it was Saturday for sure. There were quite few customers doing there weekend grocery shopping. I always love to be with friends, talking to them about anything at work when it’s not busy. I think this is what I called my day off.

After work, I got home as usual. Jasmine was one excited little girl seeing her Mommy. She always says that she missed me I miss her too, all the time while at work, but I know it’s for her own good, too. Hubby likes it too; they get to have bonding time, just daddy and daughter hanging out together. They usually went out for lunch at the restaurant by were we live. (Although I’m convinced daddy just says he enjoys it for my sake. He always seems so worn out after a day alone with our little monster, I mean princess.)After work, we try to have a family night out on weekends.Not late night, cause of our little girl. This time I chose the Greek restaurant. I told hubby “I’m tired I just want the nearest one.” I had some calamari with fries and salad, hubby got a steak and salad, and our little Brat, I mean delight, got a cheese pizza for herself.

I also finally met the Irish couple who my Hubby talks about all the time. It’s because they always see them every time I work. They knew Jasmine, and seem to be taken with her. The lady is always talking about how beautiful Jasmine is. They are a nice couple, and so sweet to our baby. It’s no wonder hubby likes them. I was glad to meet them; they are indeed a nice and friendly pair. She even gave Jasmine some Irish luck a money for her. Of course, being a mother herself, she refused to take no for an answer, so I kept the money and put it in her album with a note saying Irish Luck dated 2008. We’ll make sure we spend that amount to buy something nice for Jasmine, as that was her real intention, but I thought such a kind act should be remembered.

Sunday Jasmine and I went to church. Dada was so tired that we didn’t bother to wake him up. But before we left, he woke up and just told us to pick him up after the mass. Jasmine was very nice this time around. I always sit at the back so that whenever Jasmine becomes naughty, it’s easy to go outside. Well, there is a couple with one daughter beside us. Jasmine and this kid instantly became friends and were talking and doing crayons together. They were very behaved, although sometimes Jasmine raised her voice out of excitement. Oh well, overall she was very well behaved and I was so impressed at the time. No hassle for the first time.

After mass, it’s straight home pick-up Daddy. Went to our favorite local shopping store, did some window-shopping, and bought a few things. Especially for my picture printing. I got to buy a few things for Jasmine, too. Before heading home, of course, we had to stop at Burger King.

Went home and found out that my Bavarian Angel blog was remodeled by my admirable friend, Carlota. I was so excited, that I called her right after hubby and his Mom talk. I just want to say thank you for everything and for making my site so pretty. Not only that, but I always love talking to Carlota, ever since we became friends online. She’s one of the nicest people I ever made friends with since the first time I do blog hopping through Friendster, then Bravenet, and finally Blogspot. Carlota was always there to help me getting started.

To you, Carlota, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for taking so much time making your friends blogs look lovelier than ever. thank you always. I guess that’s it for now.

Wow! It’s been another hectic week for me and for my family. I really was busy this past week. I did so much stuff and accomplished a few things I was hoping to get done. Like I always say, a stay at home mom never runs out of work around the house. Anyway, for the whole week Jasmine was having a blast.

It’s because Joy-joy was with her almost everyday. She has no school for one week. In Germany, we had Fasching, much like Carnival or Mardi gras. They parade in the street with there colorful costumes and have parties. It seems fun. I never experienced festivities like that before. Even here in the Hohenfels area. Of course, I’m not including their “beer fests” as hubby calls them and Christmas markets.And yeah for the whole week every time they played, the house was a mess. I can’t describe it; it’s so messy and toys everywhere. I left them alone and let them have fun instead of just watching movies. and I did some blog hopping. I took pictures of their mess, though to show how it is when they are playing the whole day.

No nap, no break, nothing at all. They had so much energy, as if they just drank red bull. I only asked them to fix the mess when it’s almost time for Joy-joy to be picked up by her Daddy. That’s the only time Jasmine would relax and just sit watching TV. But don’t get me wrong, I enjoy watching them playing and having so much fun together.

Anyway, I was one happy wife because I got my wish for this Valentines Day, a Samsung SGH-C170 mobile telephone. It is very pretty. I love it so much. Hubby bought it after work. I told hubby I would like to have that phone. (By “I told hubby…” I mean to say, “I nagged hubby into submission.”) He did say that I wouldn’t be getting a Valentines Day gift, because this was my gift. Doesn’t he understand that a bright red “cutesy” phone is practically required by female nature? Seriously, a big “thank you” to my hubby for buying this for me. Tomorrow I am going to attend a funeral mass.

Hubby’s coworker passed on, and I knew his wife. Then I’ll be going in to work. I’m fairly sure it’ll be a busy day tomorrow. I’d just like to say thank you to all my friends online and to those who keep dropping by my site and for taking time to visit me here. I wish you all a very good weekend. Here I am again doing my weekly update about our misadventures. Friday evening there was a show put on by the Kansas City Chiefs cheerleaders. I had to drop hubby at work so that evening we could meet up for dinner and go straight to the show.

They often have shows like that here in our small community. I am excited because I like seeing this kind of show, it’s amazing how they move, and do their dance steps. And Jasmine, she was even more excited than I was. We got there 10 minutes before they started. When the show started, Jasmine was all smiles and excited. She even clapped her hands, both keeping with the beat and from joy at seeing them.

Every cheerleading show has its own unique style. This one ran from the ‘40s up to present. It was cool seeing them reenacting the different eras in American society and history. Jasmine loves them; she even asked me if she could dance with them. Her wish granted when she got to dance with them, one of the cheerleaders when they came around to get folks involved. They danced for only a minute and Jasmine was happy about that.

She is really into dancing and showing off lately. She also loves ballet so much so that Monday we are going to register her for ballet class. I hope that she will be fine with this. Back to the cheerleading, we had so much fun that night. They were also very funny. After the show, we waited in line for the poster signing. We waited for quite some time. I let Hubby carry Jasmine through the long line. I took some photos, and they got some autographs. She loved seeing them and even talked to them. Anyway, we ended going home a little after 10pm. The next morning I had to get up and prepare breakfast before going to my part time job.

After work hubby called and said we are going out for dinner and not to bring home dinner. We went to our favorite restaurant and enjoyed a sumptuous meal. It was truly enjoyable for all of us! Sunday we woke up so late. After a while, we decided to dress up and go out for some family time. Of course, that includes shopping. I got to buy some cool fashions for spring and summer at great prices. After shopping, went some strolling and then headed home. I was so excited to do my blog thing, but I had a bad headache. I slept after our dinner for an hour or so and that did the trick. Jasmine slept with me and staid asleep while I did my blogging LOL. Addicted to blogging I guess. Anyway, that's how our weekend went. I hope you all had a great time during the weekend. Just like me

Hello, Peeps! Here I am again, updating my place. I keep thinking about what to write, and decided to revisit my Bravenet blog. Checking my archives, I found out that I was blogging since 2005. I started with Friendster, bad thing I deleted my Friendster account and left my Bravenet hanging for a long time. I am lucky I saved my account in Bravenet and was amazed to learn that I did post quite few things about our little girl Jasmine. It was so amazing seeing her in some of the videos I uploaded when she was 2yrs old. Trying to sing the wiggles song and do some dancing. It’s so cute. I was so happy I saved this blog of mine so I can print my updates and save them as a diary. It’s amazing how I blog about our little girl, how much she changes, and some wonderful milestones she had over the past years. I think up to now I still blog about our little girl most of the time. What can I do? Like most moms, I am so proud of my little princess. Well enough for that. Today we stayed home and did some cleaning and packing. After that, I started packing some of the stuff I bought a long time ago for my balikbayan box. I was thinking of sending them a balikbayan box, since it’s been a long time. I got so busy with Jasmine bothering me, removing all the stuff I arranged in my box, I was busy going back and forth to check for more of the stuff I bought. Then every time I check on the box, the stuff was gone and she put it all on our bed. I was almost ran out of patience though. She never stopped, so I decided to stop rather than getting upset with her. I made her take a nap, which she fought tooth and nail. Like a little tiger. But of course, mommy always knows if she is tired and needs a Nap. After a while, she fell asleep, and so I continued my packing. Anyway, I did finish the packing, but needed more stuff to fill in my box. I am sure they would be surprised, as I never sent them box since I arrived here in Germany. I'm glad I saved up some money this time for my box. Well, I guess that’s it for now. I just wish everyone a happy Tuesday. In addition, enjoy the beautiful week.
